FLORALS FOR WINTERS
“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” We have all heard of
this. This dialogue is like a holy grail for all floral and fashion lovers.
During spring, floral is like a must have, I love them too, however I love florals
in winter as well. With some changes, florals are definitely meant for winters
as well.
During winters, when you wear florals, make sure the fabric is
satin, velvet etc, anything rich and not the usual which we wear during spring/
summer.
Also switch the colour palette to the dark, bold hues,
ditching the springy neon and pastel shades. Along with floral, another style
that I added here is the monochrome look, one of my favourites, which I had mentioned in my denim on denim
By monochrome, many assume it should be the same colour throughout.
However, with monochrome you can do the same colour or choose colours belonging
to the same colour family. As you can see here, I teamed pine green skirt with
a spring green top. Instead of a spring green if I would have chosen a pine or
an olive green top then there would be no dimension or break to the outfit. Because
of the colours the entire look has blended well together.
Well, this shoot has a quite a history associated with it. Winters had just begun when we shot this look, we had decided on going to a place called polo forest which is quite far from our place. Since it was winters, we thought of starting late, as early morning would be freezing. However, on that particular day, sun thought of shining too bright. By the time we reached there it was already afternoon and it was hot. We reached there as freshly barbecued pieces and for this look, I was carrying a checkered over coat and leather boots. OMG I could not even touch them, let alone wearing them. Hence, we decided on going on with the shoot without wearing them, subsequently this is how the look turned out to be. Yes, Florals for spring. 😊
Do let me know in the comments sections below, if you do
like wearing florals in the colder weather.
Until next time loads of love
