STAR OF THE MONTH
Today,
I will be recreating my four favourite looks of the dimple beauty of Bollywood.
If you are a
Bollywood aficionado like me, you would have guessed by now.
Yes!! It’s the actress with an infectious and beautiful smile. Our very own cocktail girl Deepika Padukone.
For
those who don’t know Deepika Padukone. She is one of the most sought out
actress of Hindi cinema. She was also the leading lady of Vin Diesel starrer
XXX. She has impressed both movie critics and fashion critics. She is praised
for her sartorial style. A style chameleon who looks good in a sari and looks
equally good in a gown.
It
was quite easy to recreate her looks, as her style is minimal and relatable. It
is something, we as non-celebrities can wear in our day to day lives.
For
these 4 looks, I have included her movie looks, promotion look and an airport
look.
Look 1
This
look is from her movie Tamasha, she has worn a blue dress, and has
layered the dress with a white printed shirt. Open hair, minimal makeup rounded
off her look.
I
recreated the look, by wearing a royal blue knee length dress teamed with a
white printed shirt.
For
this look, I got this dress dyed to royal blue colour. The shirt, well it is a DIY, I cropped the white shirt from my closet and drew those on the shirt 😊
Dress:-
Myntra ( originally lemon colour dyed to royal blue) similar here, Shirt :- DIY similar here
Look 2
This
was her promotional look for the same movie. She wore a botanical print shirt
from Topshop and paired it with grey high waisted pant, and a pair of oxfords
completed her look.
I
wore a printed shirt, teamed it with grey trousers and my favourite printed
oxfords.
Shirt
:- Westside (Gifted to me by my sister), Trousers:- NEXT similar here, Oxfords:- Pair
Patola.
Look 3
This
look is from her movie Yeh Jawaani Hain Dewaani, this is an Indian look.
Here,
she has teamed a sky blue colour kurti with a peach coloured dupatta and white
Patiala pants.
I
wore a blue coloured kurta with a baby pink dupatta, white Patiala pants, for accessories I wore a jhumka( an accessory which is often worn with Indian
wear). For makeup I lined my eyes slightly with a black eyeliner.
Kurta
:- Stitched by me, again a DIY, similar here Dupatta:- Street shopped, similar here Jhumkas:- Street
Shopped similar here
Look
4
She
was snapped at the airport, wearing a white tan top paired with black
high-waisted joggers, black sneakers and sunnies.
Sunnies
are celebrities favourite accessory. Isn’t it ?
I
wore a white tank top with black jodhpuri pants, black sneakers and Sunnies (my
favourite as well)!!
Tank
Top:- Jockey, similar here Jodhpuri Pants from my closet, similar here Sneaker:- from my closet, similar here Sunnies:- FastTrack. Aviators
This
is the end of our star of the day blog. On this blog here, I will be recreating
a celebrity, movie/ series character look once a month.
Do let me know which
look was your favourite.
Until
next time xoxooxooxox
